This 100% original and complete library lamp is a true rarity. All components are correct, including the shade, oil fount and the very hard-to-find match holder, each piece featuring the same matching pattern. There is a minimal amount of filigree loss to the match holder commensurate with age. A band around the shade is decorated with 10 faceted jewels of various colors including opalescent blue, teal-green, ruby red, and cobalt blue. It also has twenty-two cut glass faceted prisms. The fixture is dated with a patent mark: PAT NOV 15 1887 The original pearl top glass chimney with smoke bell are both excellent and the fancy embossed brass work has all-original patina throughout. This fixture came from an old Victorian home with 12' ceilings. The weighted height adjustment allows the lamp to drop approximately 20". Fully-functional and ready to use. DIMENSIONS: 43" tall fully-compressed x 63" tall fully-extended.
